Data Engineer

We are hiring Data Engineer for the position based in Remote within Sweden.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Senior and self-motivated Data Engineer involves modernizing and enhancing an existing ETL ecosystem by transitioning from Matillion-based pipelines to a new architecture leveraging Airflow, dbt, and Snowflake. The ideal  candidate will have strong experience in data engineering, ETL development, cloud-based data platforms, and modern data transformation tools. This position requires someone capable of independently analyzing undocumented legacy systems and designing scalable, well-documented data solutions aligned with data mesh principles.

Required Experience/Competences:

• 7–8 years of experience in Data Engineering and ETL development.
• Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Experience with Matillion ETL (analysis and migration).
• Proficiency in Apache Airflow (DAG development and orchestration).
• Strong experience with dbt (modeling, testing, documentation).
• Experience working with Azure Data Lake and cloud-based data platforms
• Solid understanding of Python for pipeline development.
• Experience in migrating legacy ETL systems to modern data stack architectures.
• Knowledge of data governance, access control models (RLS, role-based access control).
• Familiarity with data mesh and data product strategies is a plus.
