Data Engineer

We are hiring Data Engineer for Sweden.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Data Engineer responsible for building and modernizing business-critical data platforms and reporting solutions. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining cloud-native data solutions while supporting the transformation from legacy platforms to a modern Google Cloud Platform (GCP) ecosystem. You will play a key role in enabling reliable, scalable, and accessible data products that drive business insights and next-generation applications.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Platform Modernization & Architecture: Drive technical design and migrate legacy systems to scalable, cloud-native enterprise data platforms on GCP, ensuring alignment with architecture standards, DevOps/IaC practices, and long-term data roadmaps.

• Pipeline & Data Solution Engineering: Design, build, and optimize end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines, APIs, and analytical models while collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality, reliable, and performant data products.

Technical Skills & Expertise:

• 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering development. 
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud platforms. 
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and BigQuery. 
• Experience building scalable data solutions using BigQuery, Dataform, Apache Airflow, Pub/Sub, and Docker. 
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data modeling techniques such as Dimensional Modeling and Data Vault. 
• Hands-on experience with DevOps, CI/CD, GitLab, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform). 
• Strong understanding of modern data architectures, including Data Warehousing and Event-Driven Architecture. 
• Experience designing and implementing cloud-native integration and data pipeline solutions. 
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and modern software engineering best practices.
