Senior Backend Engineer

We are hiring Senior Backend Engineer for Sweden.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to be worked with Experienced engineering team and play a key role in building and scaling the backend infrastructure that powers the next stage of the product. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will work on complex, high-volume systems where scalability, performance, reliability, security, and code quality are critical. You will have significant influence over technical decisions and architecture, while working closely with Product, Design, and other engineers to turn ideas into robust, production-ready solutions.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Backend Development & System Architecture: Design, build, and optimize high-performance, scalable backend systems and high-volume databases using TypeScript and Node.js, ensuring robust security, reliability, and code quality while solving complex technical challenges.

• End-to-End Ownership & Technical Leadership: Drive projects from concept to delivery in cross-functional collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering, while shaping best practices and contributing to overall system architecture and platform growth.

Technical Skills & Expertise:

• 6+ years of professional experience developing and scaling production-grade backend systems.
• Strong hands-on experience with TypeScript and Node.js.
• Proven experience working with high-volume applications and databases.
• Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL or a comparable relational database.
• Experience designing scalable and reliable backend architectures.
• Strong understanding of performance optimization, security, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience in Gambling / Gaming Industry  is relevant and advantageous.
• Experience taking ownership of technical initiatives and driving them independently.
• Strong senior engineering mindset with the ability to think in systems and anticipate edge cases.
