We are hiring Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer for Sweden.
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Design Engineer to working on the development of structural chassis components for a common vehicle platform. The role is primarily focused on CAD design and mechanical product development, combined with planning, coordination, testing, simulation, and follow-up activities to ensure product maturity and timely delivery.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
Roles & Responsibilities:

End-to-End Mechanical & CAD Design: Design, model, and maintain 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CATIA V5 for structural automotive chassis components (e.g., brackets, cross members, casted/forged parts) from initial concept through engineering calculations and implementation.

Cross-Functional & Lifecycle Execution: Lead product validation, test plans, simulation support, and field quality investigations independently while collaborating closely with internal teams and cross-functional partners.
Technical Skills & Expertise:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical design engineering and product development.
- Previous professional experience within the automotive industry.
- Experience with systems such as OAS, TestIT, FRAS, and TTR.
- Strong hands-on experience with CATIA V5.
- Experience creating and maintaining 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Good knowledge of GD&T and tolerance chain analysis.
- Proven experience designing structural mechanical components.
- Experience designing: Steel components, Cast components, Forged components, Brackets, Frame and structural components.
- Experience with structural chassis component development.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
- Ability to perform basic engineering calculations related to mechanical component design.
