Platform Engineer

We are hiring Platform Engineer for Sweden.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Platform Engineer to build, operate, and improve enterprise integration platforms, with a strong focus on Apache Kafka, Strimzi, Kubernetes, and HiveMQ. The role covers platform automation, scalability, security, observability, and end-to-end operational ownership.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Platform Operations, Reliability & Security: Oversee the end-to-end administration, security (ACLs, mTLS, OAuth, RBAC), monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk), scaling, and Tier 3 incident response/RCA for enterprise streaming and messaging infrastructure including Kafka, Strimzi, Kubernetes, and HiveMQ.

• Automation, Integration & Developer Enablement: Design and maintain event-driven components (Kafka Connectors, Schema Registry) and drive platform automation using CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Helm, Terraform) and KEDA to streamline deployments and enable developer self-service.

Technical Skills & Expertise:

• 4–6 years with Apache Kafka, Strimzi, Kafka Connect API, and KRaft.
• 4–6 years with Java and Spring Boot.
• Strong experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Linux, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with CI/CD Pipelines, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent).
• Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Fluent Bit/OpenTelemetry, and Helm.
• Enterprise-level experience with Kafka and HiveMQ.
• Experience with APIM, multi-cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP), cloud cost optimization, and large enterprise Integration/Core Platform teams is an advantage.
