We are hiring QA Architect for Sweden.
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced QA Architect to define and drive the quality engineering strategy for the CRISP integration platform, a core part of a digital retail offering. The role covers test automation, quality governance, CI/CD quality controls and cross-team collaboration. The QA Architect ensures scalable, secure and efficient software delivery through modern testing practices, process optimisation and continuous improvement of quality metrics and engineering standards. The role supports the shift from traditional QA to shift-left QA with automation, where self-contained product teams carry more responsibility for quality. Strong experience of data integration, both hub-and-spoke and modern API management (APIM), is essential.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Define and drive the QA strategy, architecture, and governance for the CRISP platform by establishing scalable test frameworks, CI/CD quality gates, and engineering standards while championing a quality-by-design culture across development teams and stakeholder forums.
-
Lead full-lifecycle testing and continuous delivery optimization (covering platform, integration, automated, performance, and reliability testing) to reduce manual effort and lead times, improve pass rates, and track quality KPIs alongside emerging automation technologies.
Technical Skills & Expertise:
- 7+ years of QA experience, including QA leadership or architecture responsibility.
- Experience of data integration: hub-and-spoke and modern API management (APIM).
- Good knowledge of non-functional requirements (NFR), especially for integration.
- Good knowledge of modern QA activities in an autonomous DevOps team and of the cloud-driven shift-left approach.
- Hands-on experience of using and coding test automation.
- Good knowledge of CI/CD and engineering practices and principles.
- Some knowledge of available QA tooling on the market.
- Experience with performance and reliability testing.
- Knowledge of ITIL and service management processes.
- Hands-on software engineering skills.
Soft Skills:
- Strong leadership and ability to influence teams and stakeholders.
- Good communication and technical documentation skills.
- Structured, analytical and solution-oriented approach.
- Collaborative mindset in self-contained product teams.
- Ability to work independently and drive continuous improvement.
