Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a long-term assignment focused on chassis integration for BEV solutions within the heavy vehicle industry. The role centres on the mechanical design and integration of components and systems within the chassis, including sheet metal design, brackets and installation solutions, plastic components, pneumatic systems, component packaging and chassis integration. You will collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams throughout the development process.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or master’s in mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience is preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, integrate, and validate chassis components and pneumatic systems in CATIA V5, ensuring proper component packaging, interfaces, and tolerance compliance.
- Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams throughout product development, design reviews, technical investigations, and production support.
Technical Skills & Expertise:
- At least 3 years of experience in design engineering.
- Previous R&D experience from the heavy vehicle or automotive industry.
- Strong experience within sheet metal, plastic and/or pneumatic design.
- Experience with CATIA V5 in both 3D and 2D.
- Experience with tolerance analysis.
- Good understanding of component packaging, interfaces and installation.
- knowledge of manufacturability principles within relevant component areas.
- Experience within chassis design and installation for heavy-duty vehicles is meritorious.
- Experience across more than one of the technical areas (sheet metal, plastic and pneumatic systems) is meritorious.

- Collaborates well with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
- Communicates clearly in technical discussions.
- Comfortable driving design activities independently while contributing to knowledge sharing within the team.
