OT SCADA Engineer

We are hiring OT SCADA Engineer for Sweden.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced OT SCADA Engineer to strengthen the engineering and operational capabilities supporting wind-farm SCADA systems and associated OT data flows. The assignment combines hands-on operational support, lifecycle engineering and continuous improvement of existing wind-farm and fleet-level SCADA systems, industrial edge devices and operational data pipelines, together with SCADA engineering and OT system integration for new wind farms.

Educational Qualification: Degree in IT Infrastructure, Computer Engineering or related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• SCADA & Data Integration: Design, deploy, configure, and maintain OT SCADA systems, industrial edge devices, and secure data pipelines across wind assets, ensuring reliable real-time and historical data flows.
• Engineering Support & Governance: Provide end-to-end incident support, root-cause analysis, cybersecurity implementation, and cross-functional collaboration with OEMs and IT/OT teams while maintaining comprehensive documentation.

Technical Skills & Expertise:

• 3+ years OT/SCADA experience, preferably 5+, ideally in wind or utilities.
• 7+ years of experience with wind-turbine and substation SCADA systems, operational data flows and OT/IT integration boundaries.
• OPC UA and REST APIs experience (required). Merit: OPC DA, OPC XML-DA, MQTT, IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850, IEC 61400-25, Modbus TCP, SQL databases, event-streaming technologies.
• Experience moving and validating real-time and historical data via industrial/IoT integration architectures; Merit: Node-RED.
• Understanding of signal mapping, timestamps, data-quality controls and data recovery.
• Experience with industrial edge platforms or gateways, preferably Siemens Industrial Edge.
• Ability to diagnose end-to-end OT data-flow issues across applications, interfaces, servers, networks, certificates and identities.
• Working knowledge of OT cybersecurity, segmentation, secure remote access, hardening, IAM, vulnerability handling and IEC 62443 practices; high availability, patching, configuration management and lifecycle engineering.
• Jira and Confluence (or equivalent); incident, problem and change management; DTAP environments, controlled releases and rollback planning; commissioning and transition to operations. Merit: cloud-connected OT / industrial IoT.
• Merit: ISA/IEC 62443, GICSP; vendor training for Siemens Gamesa, Vestas, Nordex, Siemens Industrial Edge.
