Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to develop, maintain, and enhance software build tools and Continuous Integration (CI) workflows for the embedded Core Computer environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Linux development, advanced Python programming, shell scripting, and software build automation.
Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Key Responsibilities:

Build & Automation Engineering: Design, maintain, and optimize software build tools, CI workflows, and robust Python/shell scripts for the embedded Core Computer environment to streamline development, testing, and integration.

Collaboration & Troubleshooting: Investigate technical issues, troubleshoot build failures, and collaborate with engineering teams using Git and Gerrit to continuously improve build pipelines and development processes.
Technical Skills & Expertise:
- 7+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux development environments.
- Strong Advanced Python and solid shell scripting skills.
- Experience in Embedded software development
- Hands-on experience with Bazel, particularly writing and maintaining Bazel build rules.
- Experience with C/C++ development in POSIX-compliant environments
- Familiarity with CI/CD and build automation tools such as Jenkins and Zuul.
- Experience with Docker and containerized development environments.
- Contributions to open-source projects or demonstrable experience developing build automation tools and engineering utilities.
- Practical experience developing automation tools and implementing software build pipelines.
- Experience with cloud administration, infrastructure configuration or DevOps coordination.
Soft Skills:
- Ability to independently analyze technical problems, develop practical solutions, and take ownership of engineering deliverables.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
