Senior Embedded Linux Engineer

We are hiring Senior Embedded Linux Engineer for Sweden.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Embedded Linux Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and maintain embedded Linux platforms and Board Support Packages (BSPs). The role involves Linux kernel configuration, device tree development, driver development, hardware bring-up, and maintaining custom embedded Linux distributions using Yocto/BitBake. You will troubleshoot complex issues across hardware, kernel, and application layers while contributing to reliable, automated, and reproducible development workflows.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science,or a related discipline. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, integrate, and maintain embedded Linux system architectures, BSPs, and development environments.
• Configure and maintain Linux kernels, device trees, device drivers, and hardware bring-up processes.
• Develop and maintain custom embedded Linux distributions using Yocto/BitBake.
• Debug and troubleshoot complex issues across hardware, Linux kernel, and application layers.
• Implement and maintain Git-based workflows, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and reproducible builds.

Technical Skills & Expertise:

• 6+ years of Strong experience designing and maintaining embedded Linux system architectures and BSPs.
• Solid understanding of Linux kernel configuration, device trees, driver development, and hardware bring-up.
• Hands-on experience with Yocto/BitBake and custom embedded Linux distributions.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, and reproducible build systems.
• Experience with U-Boot, boot flows, firmware updates, and recovery mechanisms.
• Background in industrial control systems, HMI, or other industrial embedded products.
• Experience debugging embedded hardware and software using JTAG, serial consoles, GDB, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
• Understanding of real-time Linux, embedded security, and reliable OTA/firmware update mechanisms.
