Senior Platform Engineer

We are hiring Senior Platform Engineer for Sweden.

Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Data Platforms, and DevOps. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience designing and managing scalable cloud infrastructure, implementing Infrastructure as Code, and automating CI/CD processes.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree Software Engineering, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and manage scalable and reliable data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Build and maintain cloud infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
• Design and automate CI/CD and deployment processes using GitHub Actions.
• Develop and maintain data modelling and transformation workflows using dbt.
• Collaborate with data scientists, data analysts, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure data availability, reliability, and quality.
• Monitor and optimize data pipelines and cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, data platforms, and data pipelines.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of platform architecture, automation, and DevOps practices.

Required Qualifications:

• 8–10+ years of professional experience in Platform Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, or a related field.
• Strong hands-on expertise with GCP services, particularly data and platform services (BigQuery, Cloud Run, Cloud Workflows, Pub/Sub, Dataflow, etc.).
• Proven experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
• Strong experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD automation.
• Practical experience with dbt for data transformation and modelling.
• Solid understanding of modern DevOps practices and cloud engineering principles
• Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or similar languages
