Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Senior IMS Specialist for a long-term assignment within the financial services sector. The role focuses on the operations, maintenance, administration, and continuous improvement of a business-critical mainframe environment.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another relevant field.
Key Responsibilities:

IMS & Database Management: Administer, configure, maintain, and optimize IMS databases, system software, and backup/recovery operations.

System Operations & Support: Monitor transaction performance, ensure mainframe stability and security within the IBM z/OS environment, and troubleshoot complex technical issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Technical Skills & Expertise:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience in IMS and mainframe environments.
- Strong hands-on experience in administration, configuration, and optimization of IMS databases.
- Extensive experience working with IBM Z/OS environments.
- Solid knowledge of transaction management and performance analysis.
- Good working knowledge of TSO/ISPF.
- Experience supporting large-scale, business-critical IT environments with high requirements for availability, stability, resilience, and security
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to analyze complex technical issues and work effectively with other technical specialists.
