We are hiring System Design Consultant — AD/ADAS & Functional Safety for Sweden.
Job Summary
The consultant will join a System Design unit working on system-level design for autonomous driving. The role centers on analysing and handshaking incoming functional and non-functional requirements, breaking these down into system requirements, and ensuring consistency across the architecture. The consultant will collaborate closely with verification teams, support feasibility analysis, and follow the implementation of the system design, applying ISO 26262 and ISO 21448/SOTIF safety standards throughout.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Analyse and handshake incoming functional and non-functional requirements
- Break down requirements into system requirements and ensure consistency across the architecture
- Perform requirements analysis and allocation
- Develop technical safety concepts
- Conduct system FMEA and safety analysis according to ISO 26262 and ISO 21448/SOTIF
- Collaborate closely with verification teams
- Support feasibility analysis and follow implementation of the system design
Technical Competencies
- MSc in Engineering or equivalent competence
- Automotive product development experience
- Experience from AD/ADAS development
- Strong knowledge of ISO 26262 and/or SOTIF
- System design and requirements engineering experience
- Experience creating technical documentation and safety concepts
- Experience with requirements tools such as SystemWeaver
- Preferably hands-on experience with system FMEA and complex system architectures
- Merit: Experience with Safe Driving Policy (SDP), FleetInsight, or developing/applying AI agents in engineering toolchains
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail when handling complex, cross-functional requirements
- Effective cross-team collaborator, working closely with verification and architecture stakeholders
- Clear technical communication skills for documenting safety concepts and requirements
- Structured, safety-conscious approach to system design work
