Data Engineer

We are hiring Data Engineer for Sweden.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join a modern cloud-based data platform team responsible for building scalable, reliable, and high-performance data products on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data engineering, cloud-native technologies, DevOps practices, and data platform development. You will play a key role in designing, developing, optimizing, and supporting data pipelines while enabling data sharing across domains through modern data architecture principles.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent professional experience. 

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Pipeline & Platform Engineering: Design, build, optimize, and support scalable, cloud-native data pipelines and products on GCP, incorporating DevOps practices (CI/CD, Terraform) and ensuring high standards for security, observability, and performance.
• Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Partner with product managers, architects, and cross-functional teams to drive the Data Mesh roadmap, enable seamless data sharing, and continuously improve engineering practices while reducing technical debt.

Technical Skills & Expertise:

• 4–6 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or related technical roles. 
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native data engineering solutions. 
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data products. 
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and DevOps practices. 
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure, deployment automation, and production support. 
• Good understanding of modern data architecture concepts such as Data Mesh and domain-oriented data products. 
• Strong knowledge of data engineering best practices, data modeling, and performance optimization. 
• Experience working in Agile software development environments.
• Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) in production data transformation workflows. 
• Knowledge of modern data governance, metadata management, and data cataloging practices. 
• Experience working with data visualization tools and collaborating with analytics or business intelligence teams. 
• Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer Certification is highly desirable.
