Software Engineer – DevOps Tools

We are hiring Senior Software Engineer for Sweden.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong expertise in Golang and Python to join the DevOps Tools team. The team operates at the intersection of platform infrastructure and AI applications, developing software layers and APIs for internal tooling and customer-facing products, while supporting Kubernetes, AWS, and CI/CD initiatives. This is a 1-year maternity cover role with a strong focus on software engineering excellence, clean and maintainable code, software architecture, testing, and development best practices.

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science and related engineering field.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take full ownership of major quarterly technical initiatives, including defining requirements, planning, implementation, and delivery.
• Design, develop, test, and maintain production-grade software primarily using Golang and Python.
• Build and maintain robust APIs and software integrations supporting AI/ML applications.
• Develop software wrappers and APIs for internal tooling and customer-facing AI systems.
• Support Kubernetes and AWS-based infrastructure projects and CI/CD initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and debug infrastructure and application-related issues.
• Participate in a developer support rotation, assisting engineering teams with infrastructure troubleshooting and small provisioning tasks.
• Drive and promote strong coding standards, code reviews, testing practices, maintainability, and software architecture.
• Collaborate with infrastructure specialists to integrate new systems and orchestration initiatives into existing platforms and messaging infrastructure.
• Work closely with engineers across teams, provide technical guidance, conduct code reviews, and share knowledge.

Required Qualifications:

• 6 + years of strong experience in Golang and Python development.
• Experience developing production-grade software with a strong focus on quality and maintainability.
• Proven ability to independently take ownership of high-level technical objectives and drive them through to completion.
• Solid working knowledge of AWS and Kubernetes.
• Experience with API development and system integrations.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based environments.
• Experience integrating or working with AI/ML application endpoints is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, including testing, code reviews, architecture, and maintainable coding standards.
